Flat plate collectors: this type of collector is preferred to use for domestic heat and got water necessaries form solar power. This panel consist of dark black colour absorbers that attract the heat. This is placed in weatherproof sheets, which provide insulation from back and glaze from the front. With it series of pipes are installed in this system that carries heat from one place to another part of the box of hot water tank. Use of insulation protects heat loss that mostly happens because of convection.
This panels use greenhouse effect to reuse the solar power. Energy that comes from the sun is in form of wavelength, and it is not possible for us to see it with bear eye. Glass and plastic cannot absorb it, therefore silicon is used in this system for better results. After collecting sun’s heat, temperature rises in the pipes through which fluid has to pass toward the hot water tank and in this way we receive hot water through this system.
Evacuated tube collectors: other famous type of system used in active solar heating is evacuated tube collector. In this system volume is created between two elements, the absorber plat and the glazing. Mostly collectors suffer with lose of energy, but here with help of convection and conduction this effect can be reduce easily as it creates a system like thermos flask, where less energy loss happens. Besides it this help in protecting stored energy from environmental changes and other major influences.
This collector of heat is actually a type of vacuum collector with multiple absorber strips, each one of them is placed in evacuated area that adds pressure on the glass tube. This glass tube is pressure proof therefore nothing affects it performance. As water runs through the pipes in this system, heat started to transfer towards it to rise its temperature.
It is important to place pipes in this system at correct angle to get best results, it is important that process if vaporizing occurs in this system otherwise energy would not provide obvious results to you.
