Computer that was invented in old times of 1949 but later it became a very powerful source of networking and for many useful and informative purposes. Computer has different components that really play an important role in the working and the performance of the computer. The major and the main part of the computer system is the CPU (central processing unit). Basically it is defined as the part of the computer system that performs all the basic and the important activities of the computer and can also give different types of instructions to the perform different types of arithmetical or logical tasks in a basic sequence is called as the central processing unit CPU.
How CPU Works?
The working of the CPU depends upon the different parts that are installed in it and the sequence in which it can integrate the different applications. Basically the working of the CPU based on to the four steps i.e. fetching, decoding, execute an application, and write back/. It is the basic sequence that all CPU should follow for proper working. Different types of components are involved in the working and the processing of computer programs from CPU. Some of the important parts of the CPU are listed below
Motherboard:
The main or the major part of the CPU on which all the parts are installed or configured is the motherboard. It is a bed on which all the parts of the CPU are lay down. Different types of the components are installed on the motherboard such as processing unit, RAM, hard drives and different types of optical drives such as CD ROMs or Floppy drives
Processors:
The major component or the part of the CPU is that chip that is installed under the fan located on the mother board inside the case of the central processing unit is called as processor. All the instructions and there functions of the CPU depends upon the these processors. The main duty of the processors is to access all the data and the instructions of the system given by the users and it also deals with the working of the other parts of the unit. Different types of processors have been introduced by the Microsoft that can be able to process the trillion data operation in just one second.
RAM (Random Access Memory):
Another basic component often CPU is the RAM or random access memory. It provides the memory of the computer system. Basically the main role of the RAM is to act as a buffer between the hard drive and the processing unit. And when the user gives command to the system then the is memory access unit process the data from the data drive to the processing unit and then the processing unit processes the data and transfer back to the memory. RAM also plays an important role to the display, if RAM is faulted then system show a black screen
Hard Drive:
In the CPU guide the next part of the CPU is the hard drive that is also called as the data drive. Basically it is drive that keeps all the data of the users and the system permanently in the operating systems. The computers that are recently used are configured by the SATA hard drives because they are more secure and more efficient. These drives are present just beneath the floppy drive and with the help if slimmer cable they are connected with the slots present on the mother board.
Optical Drives:
Different types of optical drives are also the part of the CPU some of the optical devices that are commonly used in every system are the CD drives, writing drive and floppy drives also and all are connected with the mother board.
